Lake  Memphremagog Monster (Memphre):

memphre-wooden

The local american indians "The First Nations' of the area , had legends of a Sea Serpent. The first European white settlers were warned by the natives not to swim in the lake due to the presence of this monster.

The Sea Monster is said to makes its home in a a cave at the base of Owl's Head mountain .

Memphre - I consider to be a Type 1 water monster - similar to a super sized water eel.

The history of Memphre is original founded in early american indian oral traditions and stories.  The first recorded sighting where printed in 1847 in the Stamstead Journal "Something of a Sea Serpent exists in Lake Memphremagog."

Sorry no quality videos and pictures of this Lake Monster.
